Responsibilities
* Coordinate the supply of parts to the production lines in alignment with build schedules and production targets.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels within your zone, ensuring accurate stock counts and prompt replenishment.
* Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the parts flow process, liaising with suppliers and internal teams as necessary.
* Maintain an organised and efficient logistics zone, ensuring parts are stored and handled in accordance with company standards.
* Work closely with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to align priorities and address any logistical challenges.
* Use the company’s inventory and logistics systems to record and track the movement of parts accurately.
* Ensure all activities within your zone comply with health and safety regulations.
* Regular and accurate stock counts including any required adjustments on Stock Management system.
* Accurate booking and management of components in the stores using Stock Management system.
* Picking and booking of stock parts to support production and customer service part requirements.
* Goods inwards receipt and accurate booking in of deliveries/stocks to the facility when required.
* Regular management of transit stock shelf.
* Picking, preparation and packaging of service components for international air or sea shipment.
* Housekeeping of the stores area to maintain a clean environment.
* Be available to work OT, shutdowns and travel as needed.
* Working together with GMAE/GMA/GMG teams to continuously improve/develop parts management process.
* Establishing strong team member relations, at all levels with a focus on teamwork and inclusion.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multiple teams.
* Proficiency in inventory management systems and software.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
* Experience in manufacturing/engineering stores environment.
* Computer literacy required for stock booking transactions - Basics in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Understanding of the different assembly processes and equipment.
* Works well under pressure, works hard to meet strict production targets.
* Proficiency in cross functional, cross company, and cross-sectional processes.
* Must be a team player who can work closely with GMAE manufacturing engineering team.
* Reliable timekeeping and attendance.
* Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
