Overview
These posts have been created to meet increasing demand and support ongoing service expansion and transformation in the pan‑London region, including a new hospital at the Watford site and a new surgical elective hub at St Albans City Hospital. Each post offers a 10‑person annual plan with flexible working and a strong commitment to education, research and clinical governance.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the hospital.
* Provide and support colleagues with the management of all adult and paediatric patients presenting with ENT conditions.
* Develop close links with the ENT team and undertake the responsibilities of outpatient ENT clinics.
* Teach and train intermediate grade and junior medical staff, medical students and ENT nursing staff.
* Actively participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
* Take responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview), CESR or European Community Rights.
* Higher ENT qualification or fellowship.
* Proven ability to operate independently in endoscopic sinus surgery, parotidectomy and thyroidectomy.
