Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Temp to Perm)

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an SEMH school in Liverpool on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students who require extra support to reach their full potential.
Position Details:

* Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-time, Immediate Start
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them manage emotions and behaviour.
* Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and supportive lessons.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help remove barriers to learning.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
* Support students in their academic progress and emotional development.
Ideal Candidate:
* Resilient, patient, and calm when managing challenging behaviour.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate difficult situations.
* Empathetic and understanding towards students who have struggled in mainstream education.
* A team player who can build rapport with both students and staff.
* Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a school or educational setting, preferably with SEMH or SEN students.
* A positive, adaptable attitude to meet the diverse needs of students.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people and making a difference in their lives.
