This role requires working flexibly, including weekends and on-call duties. Full training, PPE, and company equipment will be provided to ensure all drainage engineers are equipped to perform to high standards, regardless of background or experience.
Position Details
* Role: HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer
* Location: Chertsey Depot, Home Counties South Region (Chertsey, Surrey)
* Type: Permanent, full-time
* Hours: 4 On 4 Off, 40.25 hours, including early and late shifts
* Salary: £50,000 per annum (including basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance, and bonuses)

Key Responsibilities
1. Travel to sites via HGV in a two-person team, using high-pressure water jets for restoration
2. Maintain and clean drainage systems
3. Accurately record work reports using specialist equipment
4. Run diagnostics and repair drains
5. Provide excellent customer service
6. Follow health and safety protocols, including PPE and site safety
7. Manage vehicle stock and replenish supplies
8. Operate VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
9. Operate JHL vacuum tankers and related equipment
10. Access vehicles and sites safely, following proper procedures
11. Handle pipework manually and safely
12. Work independently in all weather conditions, using PPE or lone worker systems
13. Assess risks dynamically on-site
14. Liaise with clients regarding work progress
15. Support colleagues as needed
16. Inspect tools and equipment before and after use, report defects
17. Conduct risk assessments and adhere to policies
18. Perform any other duties as required
About You
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and adheres to safety standards. Experience with high-pressure jetting is beneficial but not essential. Relevant drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA, Confined Spaces) are advantageous. You must hold a minimum of a HGV Class 2 license, CPC certification, and an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
