Position
Your new company: A leading provider of civil engineering solutions across Northern Ireland is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, they are committed to innovation, safety, and excellence in every aspect of their work. Due to continued growth, they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in Mid-Ulster.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of cost and contract management across a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
* Manage project costs from initial calculations to final accounts.
* Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and variations.
* Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure financial efficiency.
* Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages and procurement strategies.
* Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and safety regulations.
* Support cash flow forecasting and cost reporting.
* Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management software.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
