Fraser Health Authority is seeking to add 4 consulting Dermatologists to enhance the current Dermatology group, which provides specialist dermatology care to the community of Surrey.
Surrey Memorial Hospital is a 641-bed acute care facility, affiliated with the University of British Columbia, serving as a regional referral and community teaching hospital. It has the busiest emergency department in the province, offering medical, surgical, neonatal intensive care, tertiary, ambulatory, cardiology, rehab, and 24/7 emergency services with nearly 180,000 visits annually. The hospital includes a dedicated Pediatric treatment and waiting area, a state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower with a perinatal centre, helipad, and expanded ICU.
The Dermatologist will primarily provide outpatient and private community services, with responsibilities including consulting on inpatient cases at SMH. The role also involves obtaining a Clinical Faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia and providing supervision, mentorship, and teaching to medical trainees.
Remuneration
Compensation is fee-for-service.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have full FRCPC certification and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
