A rare opportunity for a Part Time Accountant to join a company in Watford has just become available.
We are delighted to be supporting an SME business who are looking to add an experienced Accountant, with experience of Management Reporting.
They are looking for someone to work across 4 or 5 days a week within their office. The hours will be 24 hours a week and are flexible as long as they are split across 4 days minimum.
Essential experience required for this role includes experience within Import and Export including multicurrency and EC Sales. You must be experienced in Bookkeeping and will have worked in a sole charge role for an SME with international exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
Bank reconciliations
Month‑end, Quarter end and year end reporting.
Support Sales
Credit Control
Reconcile multiple bank accounts including multi currencies
Credit card expenses
Enter supplier invoices, credit notes and expenses
Reconcile supplier statements
Bi‑monthly payment runs
Manage import purchases
Prepare and submit VAT returns
EC Sales and Intrastat reporting
Liaise with External accountant
Generate ad‑hoc financial analyses and Excel‑based reports (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables)Skills & Experience required
Bookkeeper experience within an SME environment
Experience in multi currency
Experience in Sage Line 50
Import and Export experience
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and professionalism
This is a great opportunity for a strong all rounder to join a small business to take ownership of the full Bookkeeping cycle covering AP, VAT and Management Accounts. You will be hands on and well versed in Import and Export and multicurrency transactions.
