Finance Director, Boutique Hotel Group, Oxfordshire, 80k
We are working with an incredible and contemporary, high-end boutique hotel group, situated in the heart of Oxfordshire, offering a sumptuous spa, luxury bedrooms, and a stylish cocktail bar.
As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in managing the organisation's financial activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the senior management team. The role reports directly to the MD and the owner of the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring management reports are produced regularly by hotel managers and management accountants for internal and external stakeholders.
* Leading monthly P&L review meetings with the owner, managing weekly payroll, rolling forecasts, and credit control with hotel managers and management accountants.
* Implementing financial strategy and providing scenario analysis to support decision-making for business opportunities.
* Analyzing and interpreting financial results, supporting hotel heads and company directors.
* Reviewing and approving all payments and controlling working capital.
* Managing the finance and purchasing departments.
* Collaborating with the head of IT, internal auditor, commercial director, and hotel managers to improve financial reporting and business policies.
* Establishing good relationships with external partners such as auditors, banks, suppliers, and system providers.
Candidate Profile
* Fully or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA.
* Previous hotel experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Director is essential.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
* Knowledge of local GAAP, international policies, and SOPs.
* Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
* Experience managing 1-2 hotels with a sales turnover of GBP 10-15m.
