With an expanding portfolio and ambitious growth plans, our client is looking for a strategic and commercially-minded Head of Procurement to lead their procurement function and drive operational excellence across our supply chain.
The Role
As Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing procurement strategies that support the delivery of multi-million-pound development projects. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead procurement across construction, facilities, professional services, and indirect categories, ensuring value for money, compliance, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the company’s end-to-end procurement strategy in line with commercial goals.
Oversee procurement activities for construction materials, subcontractors, professional consultants, and indirect spend.
Build and manage relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Lead negotiations and contract management to ensure optimal terms and risk mitigation.
Implement systems, processes, and KPIs to improve procurement efficiency and transparency.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all procurement activities.
Lead and grow a high-performing procurement team.
About You
Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within property development, construction, or real estate.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Track record of delivering cost savings and supply chain improvements.
Deep understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT/NEC), tendering, and procurement law.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
MCIPS qualification or equivalent (desirable).
