The Opportunity
Sellick Partnership are working with a Legal 500 ranked firm who are seeking an NQ Family Solicitor to join their highly regarded Family Law team in Shrewsbury.This role offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex and often sensitive family matters, including financial arrangements following relationship breakdown and disputes involving children. Much of the work involves high-value assets and requires a thoughtful, measured and client-focused approach.Working closely with partners and experienced colleagues, you will build strong client relationships and provide clear, practical advice during some of the most important moments in clients' lives.This position is ideal for someone looking to handle high-quality family law work while developing a long-term career within a supportive firm that values a balanced and sustainable approach to working.You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while benefiting from the collaboration and support of an established and respected team.
Key Responsibilities
You will advise clients on a broad range of family law matters, including:Divorce and separationFinancial settlements and property arrangementsChildren matters and childcare issuesAdoptionFamily mediationYou will also:Manage matters from instruction through to conclusionProvide clear, empathetic and commercially aware legal adviceBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsWork collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firmContribute to marketing and business development initiatives
About You
The successful candidate will have:NQ Solicitor with expeirence in family lawStrong technical expertise across a broad range of private family mattersExperience handling sensitive and complex cases, including high-value financial mattersExcellent communication and client care skillsThe ability to manage a varied caseload independentlyA proactive and collaborative approachAn interest in networking, marketing and business development activities
