About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the School of ILS (Independent Living Skills) as an Assistant Head of School (AHoS). The person in this role will work closely with the Head of School (HoS) for ILS and be part of an established and experienced team, supporting the HoS in building on the existing good practice and driving forward change to ensure the needs of our ILS learners are met. The successful candidate will also play a key role in ensuring that provision for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is robust, inclusive, and aligned with statutory requirements, promoting personalised approaches that enable every learner to thrive. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the AHoS will undertake teaching duties as a lecturer within the School, delivering high‑quality, engaging sessions that support learners’ independence and progression.

Staff employed at Coleg Cymoedd will have responsibility for the safeguarding and for the promoting the welfare of learners. Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required by the College, either at your principal place of work or other College premises, commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the role.
