We are seeking a senior cloud architect to join our team that's building cloud services to support the UK's most pressing and interesting security challenges. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services, experience in large scale cloud migrations and proficiency in working with customers to understand and solve their compute and security challenges.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver cloud environments to address customers' challenges.
* Work across a range of greenfield and brownfield projects.
* Deliver technical excellence whilst making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs.
* Lead architectural discussions and design exercises.
* Develop, observe and critique cloud security practices.
* Build deep customer relationships in their environment; drive discussions with their technical and operational teams.
* Work with customers and other suppliers to gather and shape requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience leading large Amazon Web Services implementations or migrations in high-security environments.
* Hands‑on expertise in designing and building cloud computing environments running critical workloads.
* Strong presentation and knowledge sharing skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
* Able to build relationships with customers, influence their roadmap and challenge established thinking when needed.
* Consulting skills to solve customer problems, and the ability to manage ambiguity.
* Team leadership.
* UK NATIONAL.
* AWS Certifications at Associate or above.
