Job Vacancy: Site Supervisor
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
About the Company: Our esteemed client specialises in planning, constructing, and delivering the highest quality sports surfaces across the UK. As they continue to solidify their position as industry leaders, they are on the lookout for committed individuals to join their team.
The Opportunity: Our client seeks an experienced Site Supervisor working in Ground Works to assist in ensuring efficient, high-quality construction and installation works. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the role involves significant leadership and operational responsibilities, including third-party sub-contractor management and strict adherence to safety protocols. The position is based in the Midlands but requires nationwide travel, often necessitating weekday and occasional weekend stays away from home.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Manage third-party sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with construction plans, safety standards, and required permits.
2. Maintain strict adherence to company Health and Safety procedures by all on-site.
3. Engage in hands-on construction work as directed, operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Keep accurate records of all works undertaken.
5. Ensure that all site operatives operate machinery safely and maintain up-to-date licenses.
6. Perform additional duties and responsibilities commensurate with the role.
Location: Midlands with frequent national travel
Key Interfaces:
7. Internal: Contracts Director, Contracts Managers, Site Operatives, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service Personnel, Company Visitors
8. External: Third Party Sub-contractors, Site Visitors, Clients
Health & Safety:
9. Comply with all company health and safety protocols.
10. Report any hazards, incidents, or defective machinery to management.
Ethical & Social Responsibility:
11. Adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
12. Report any instances of unacceptable behavior in the workplace.
Your Profile:
13. Strong leadership and supervisory skills
14. Sound understanding of sports turf construction and installation processes
15. Prior experience in managing sub-contractors
16. Vigilance and commitment to health and safety protocols
17. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
