Responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities in this role, you will take ownership of delivering 3rd line Wintel support across a secure and complex infrastructure estate, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance of critical systems. You will operate within SLA‑driven frameworks, resolving complex incidents, supporting BAU operations, and contributing to infrastructure improvements that enhance resilience and efficiency. Working closely with internal teams, you will play a key role in maintaining core Windows services while identifying opportunities to automate processes, optimise environments, and strengthen platform stability in a collaborative and structured setting.
* Support & Resolve complex 3rd line Wintel incidents within agreed SLAs
* Maintain & Optimise Windows Server environments and Active Directory services
* Administer & Support VMware virtualisation platforms
* Support & Enhance Citrix environments where applicable
* Manage & Maintain Group Policy and DNS configurations
* Support & Deliver Microsoft Exchange administration and services
* Monitor & Improve infrastructure performance and system health
* Automate & Streamline operational tasks using scripting (e.g. PowerShell)
* Contribute & Deliver infrastructure project work and platform enhancements
* Ensure & Uphold security, governance, and compliance standards
Qualifications
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: To succeed, you will bring strong 3rd line Wintel support experience within enterprise or secure environments, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and maintain critical infrastructure services. You will have a solid foundation across Windows technologies and virtualisation, alongside a proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Strong experience in Windows Server and Active Directory environments
* Proven expertise in Group Policy and DNS management
* Hands‑on experience supporting VMware virtualisation platforms
* Experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments
* Familiarity with backup and anti‑virus technologies
* Exposure to Citrix environments
* Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell
* Experience working within secure or regulated environments
* Awareness of monitoring tools such as Zabbix (desirable)
* Exposure to automation or emerging technologies (desirable)
