We are looking for Production Machine Operatives to join our growing team in Kirkham, on a Two-Shift Rotation (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00). Competitive rate of pay, increasing after full training. Overtime will be paid at time and a half and Sundays are double rate. Requirements Our Production Machine Operators work on fast paced automated lines, ensuring they are set up, maintained, and operated effectively, contributing to the delivery of safe, high-standard food products. This role involves: Responsibility: · Operate high speed production machinery, monitoring equipment performance and ensuring its safety and efficiency. · Complete all documentation and quality checks accurately. · Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and quality standards at all times. · Monitor auto-coding systems to ensure accurate product labelling and traceability. Ambition: · Take ownership of line efficiency, escalating recurring issues to reduce downtime. Passion for Food: · Reporting any quality, hygiene or other issues to an Area Leader promptly to minimise downtime and uphold quality standards. · Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet customer and regulatory expectations. Teamwork: · Working effectively as part of a production team to ensure optimum results. · Lead and coordinate team rotations to ensure optimal staffing and work flow. Personal Attributes: · High level of attention to detail. · Ability to remain calm under pressure. · Acts proactively, anticipating problems and acting early to prevent disruption. · Shows reliability by being punctual, prepared, and ensuring attendance levels are acceptable. · Highly motivated and shows initiative, with a continuous improvement mindset. · Good communication skills. · Flexible to adapt to business needs. · Ability to work confidently as part of a team as well as independently when required.
