We are a family‑owned waste management business just outside of Swindon with over 41 years of experience in recycling and secure destruction services. We are expanding our sales team and need a passionate, drive‑oriented team player to bring new business and grow client relationships through face‑to‑face meetings and tailored proposals.
Responsibilities
* Build your own pipeline of new business opportunities.
* Approach and engage commercial clients across industries.
* Meet (and beat!) sales targets.
* Create and present tailored proposals to win new contracts.
* Work closely with the sales team to ensure all client requirements are met, including admin support (reports, prices, duty of care, certificates of destruction) on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Own client conversations from first contact to deal close.
* Negotiate confidently and close with impact.
* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, providing customised solutions and upselling where appropriate.
* Handle sales inquiries efficiently via phone, email, or in‑person, ensuring top‑tier customer service.
* Conduct regular face‑to‑face client meetings, site risk observations, and relationship nurturing.
* Collaborate closely with our Transport and Account teams to resolve any account‑related issues swiftly.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, especially around health, safety, and employment regulations.
* Maintain professional and timely communication with new and existing clients.
* Tackle other duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Full‑time position. Pay dependent on experience.
* Sales experience – 1 year (preferred).
* Driving licence (required).
* Office based at a site near Swindon.
* Must be smart appearance, able to listen to customer needs, and happy to travel if required.
