Learning Disability Support Worker – Petit Miracles:Miracle Brews (London)
Join our award-winning team at Petit Miracles. We’re looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers to provide person-centred employment support for neurodivergent individuals. Working within our Miracle Brews programme, our brand-new coffee bike business based in Shepherd’s Bush, you’ll play a pivotal role developing neurodivergent people into employment. This is a new role which will require you to show loads of flexibility and a can-do attitude in order to shape our future and develop our impact.

What you’ll do
* Brew delicious coffee from our custom-built coffee bike whilst managing people who are neurodivergent and who are looking to move into supportive employment within the Miracle Brews coffee bike programme
* Working to a minimum target of 2 adults moving into long term employment and 10 people into work experience, all within the Miracle Brews programme, by the end of your first year of employment
* Undertaking monthly work coaching sessions to develop and upskill them in brewing and bar management skills
* Supporting the neurodivergent people to reduce work-related barriers such as travel-to-work, disclosure of health & wellbeing needs and budgeting
* Providing in-work support to assist in maintaining their employment, including frequent in-person meetings to ensure job satisfaction
* Organising and facilitating regular employment taster days with the Petit Miracle team and our referring organisations for neurodivergent people looking to move into work in order to raise aspirations and developing an understanding of the workplace
* Overseeing and managing our evidence-based employability model through tracking of our outcomes.
What we’re looking for
* Experience of working/volunteering with neurodivergent people
* Empathy, patience & commitment to person-centred support
* Knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene & manual handling
* Ability to work flexibly, part-time, potential full time.
* An understanding of the barriers to employment experienced by neurodivergent people
* Experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring marginalised people
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport with people
* Good administrative skills with an ability to use IT and tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Flexible and hands on approach with a can-do attitude
* Ideally, you would have experience working in a bar or other customer service setting
