The Role
We’re looking for a driven Business Development professional to take our apprenticeship offer to market, build employer partnerships, and generate consistent learner starts.
This is not a passive sales role—you’ll own the pipeline, shape employer relationships, and position Blue Lion as the go‑to provider for high‑quality apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and win new employer partnerships across the UK
* Promote apprenticeship programmes (L3–L6) aligned to employer needs
* Generate leads through outreach, networking, and events
* Convert opportunities into signed apprenticeship agreements
* Work closely with delivery teams to align recruitment with capacity
* Represent Blue Lion in a professional, credible, and consultative manner
* Maintain a strong presence in the Derby office as part of the core team
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement
* Experience in apprenticeships, training, or education (highly desirable)
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Self‑starter mindset — someone who takes ownership and drives resultsAbility to understand employer needs and position solutions effectively
