Business Analyst
📍 Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days onsite) | 💼 Full-time, Permanent | 💷 £45,000 – £55,000
An established technology-focused organisation is looking for a Business Analyst to play a key role in connecting customer and business needs with innovative digital solutions. You’ll act as the link between business stakeholders, product teams, and technical delivery, helping shape software that drives measurable value and supports strategic goals.
What to Expect
In this role, you’ll gather and analyse requirements, translate business needs into detailed specifications, and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders. Working closely with project managers, developers, and testers, you’ll help ensure that products and services are aligned with user expectations and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Capture, analyse, and document requirements to create clear and comprehensive software specifications.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
* Support solution design and ensure consistency across project deliverables.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across multiple teams.
* Assist in testing and validation, ensuring alignment between requirements and outcomes.
* Contribute to improving internal processes, templates, and best practices within the Business Analysis function.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience gathering and documenting detailed software or system requirements.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
* Strong communication and presentation abilities.
* Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
* Understanding of Agile principles and user story creation.
* Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Analysis, IT, or a related field.
Desirable:
* Experience within regulated or technical industries.
* Exposure to digital transformation and modern architectural frameworks.
* Formal BA certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA).
