Social Worker - Specialist Services for Disabled Children x3
Job Description: 2x Permanent, Full Time
1x Permanent, Part Time (18.5 hours per week)
About Us: Join our established Social Work Team working closely with family support workers, social care practitioners, and OTs to provide vital support to disabled children and their families.

Child protection, Children in need assessments and planning, children in foster care and residential placements are just some of the processes covered in our service. The work is varied, interesting and sometimes challenging but can be very rewarding.
Role Highlights:
1. Conduct Section 17 assessments to support families caring for disabled children.
2. Identify and address safeguarding concerns with management support.
3. Collaborate with professionals from health, education, and voluntary organizations.
4. Work with children from birth to eighteen.
The Disabled Children Service operates city-wide, setting high standards for our workforce. We provide tailored support to help workers progress at their own pace.
Our systemic approach, using Signs of Safety, identifies family strengths, fostering sustainable changes and reducing the need for statutory intervention, ensuring children's safety within their family network.
About You:
5. Registered Social Worker with Social Work England/ASYE.
6. Desire to improve outcomes for disabled children and their families.
7. Interest in working in a specialist social work area, contributing to EHCPs, Mental Capacity assessments, and transition planning.
8. High standards for achieving the best possible outcomes for families.
