Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in accounting software, Ms Excel and a keen eye for detail, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
* Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently and accurately
* Maintain organised financial files and documentation in accordance with company policies
* Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare relevant reports
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to record financial data
* Support auditors during financial audits by providing necessary documentation
* Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes as required
* Set-up and conduct accounting software, payroll and VAT.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisational setting
* Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
* Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
* Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively
* A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
