Go Developer Contract (Go + some Java)

Duration: 6 months
Rate: £500-£600/day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Location: UK-based, hybrid - 2 days per month in London

A public-sector digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Go Developer for a 6-month contract. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team building secure, high-performance Back End services.

Key Skills

* Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)

* Additional experience with Java beneficial

* Microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems

* Secure development practices and familiarity with high-security environments

* Working knowledge of CI/CD and containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes)


Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain Go-based Back End services

* Contribute to architecture, design decisions, and code reviews

* Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and security specialists

* Implement secure-by-design and cloud-ready engineering practices


Requirements

1. Active SC Clearance (mandatory)

2. Proven experience delivering Go services in production
