Asset Engineer Earthworks

We are seeking an Asset Engineer Earthworks to support examination and asset management activities within the Northwest region. This role is hands-on, safety-critical, and will involve working predominantly onsite to deliver earthwork examinations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Essential Requirements
COSS / IWA competency (operational railway).
Previously assessed at Level 3 Competency in: (GEO-I-S) & (GEO-I-R)
Proficiency with JBA Database and GizMapp tool.
Experience producing high-quality examinations to CIV/065 standard.
Knowledge of railway geography, capability, and safe systems of work (possessions, line blocks, blockades, etc.).
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
IT literate with a good understanding of operating systems.
Valid First Aid Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Geotechnical Examination Team with planning activities, including access opportunities, possessions, worksites, and integration opportunities.
Provide information to support the selection of access methods.
Undertake and complete earthwork examinations safely and efficiently, adhering to relevant standards, method statements, and safe systems of work.
Accurately record and report all examinations completed/not completed.
