Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute innovative and appealing menus.
* Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are served on time.
* Manage and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels.
* Supervise and maintain food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
* Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition; report any maintenance needs to the head chef.
* Support the head chef in developing and maintaining standard recipes and portion control to ensure consistency.
* Assist in special events, tastings, and promotions, as needed.
* Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
* Assume the responsibilities of the head chef in their absence.
Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in a busy kitchen.
* In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
* Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
* Creativity and passion for food, demonstrated through the ability to create unique and visually appealing dishes.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
