The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for converting enquiries and opportunities into bookings across our portfolio of apartments. The role is multifaceted and requires the effective on-going management of key business partners, developing new channels to market, and the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and loyal guests. The Sales & Business Development Manager must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, have strong communication skills and be persistent in their approach.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage existing and develop new relationships with key Online Travel Agents (OTA's), relocation and corporate travel specialists to maximize revenue (keeping shared contact lists & reports).
-Drive more bookings by personally contacting perspective and previous guests to secure their stays, including late availability comms (calls, emails & WhatsApps).
-Catalogue & update in-bound enquires, leaving no stone unturned to follow up on.
-Work closely with the Marketing team to conceive and deploy campaigns to generate more bookings & build loyalty / repeat stays.
-Ensure bookings include correct information (i.e. number of guests, any special requests) and are categorized by the corresponding channel, market segment and purpose of stay.
-Liaise with the Guest Services team to analyse & adjust our availability grid to maximize available room nights.
-Work alongside the Revenue Manager to evaluate & adjust minimum stay & pricing restrictions to maximize sales.
-Regularly review our listings on the likes of Booking. com, Airbnb, Expedia, etc. making sure our profiles are up to date & engaging.
-Assist in developing B2B communication strategies, including newsletter, LinkedIn content & apartment viewings to drive more direct bookings.
- Assist in analytics for future B&L buildings in terms of area, demographic, type of product / client, ADR & occupancy levels.
-Report to the broader team on weekly and monthly progress, including performance, pipeline & market trends.
Qualifications & Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred but not essential),
-Minimum 2-years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry,
-Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and managing relationships with key clients & partners,
-Excellent communication, with the ability to influence & negotiate at all levels of the organization,
-Previous experience of RMS (or similar property management system),
-Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
