Job Description: Laser Operator Location: B18, Birmingham Shift: Morning or Day Shift Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client based in B18, Birmingham, who is looking to add an experienced Laser Operator to their production team. This role would suit a candidate with hands-on experience operating Mazak or Trumpf laser cutting machines, seeking stable day-shift work in a busy manufacturing environment. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Operating CNC laser cutting machines (Mazak or Trumpf) to produce components to specification * Loading and unloading sheet metal safely and efficiently * Setting up jobs in line with engineering drawings and cutting schedules * Monitoring cut quality and making basic machine adjustments as required * Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance * Ensuring all work meets quality standards and production targets * Completing production paperwork and job records accurately * Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area The Candidate Our client is looking for someone who: * Has proven experience operating Mazak or Trumpf laser machines * Can read and interpret engineering drawings confidently * Has a good understanding of sheet metal materials and laser cutting processes * Works accurately with strong attention to detail * Is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team * Has a good awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment What’s on Offer * £14.50 per hour * Morning or day shift only (no nights) * Ongoing work with the potential for long-term opportunities * Immediate start available for the right candidate
