Job Description
Production Operations
* Support the Director in all production operations
* Project Management, creating project plans and timelines and ensuring successful delivery
* Develop and maintain existing partnerships for project delivery
* Liaise with freelance crew, artists, tour bookers, and production managers to ensure safe and successful productions
* Act as project liaison with clients and partners in co-productions
* Spearhead tour management, booking accommodation, travel, and logistics together with the Project Assistant and freelance Tour Booker
* Work with the General Manager to contract artists, creatives, crew, and venues
* Work with the General Manager to manage the process for international artists requiring UK visas
* Work with Freelance Production and Technical Managers to ensure show documentation is complete and up to date
* Help Gorilla Circus deliver the Arts Council’s ‘Let’s Create’ Strategy in Fenland and nationwide
Financial
* Create production budgets in collaboration with General Manager and Finance Manager
* Work alongside Finance Manager and General Manager to track expenditure against production budgets throughout a project’s lifespan
Project and company development
* Contribute to and assist on new production plans, opportunities, proposals and pitches
* Be the lead person for Gorilla Circus on the Fenland Place Partnership Project
* Represent and be an ambassador for Gorilla Circus’s work at national and international networking events and conferences
* Lead on researching and applying for commissions and funding
* Research and pitch for commercial booking opportunities
* Promote and present ideas to clients in pitch and during the life of a project
* Assist the Director in diversifying the company’s income generating activities
* Feed into company strategy, business planning, and creative thinking
* Work with the General Manager to support marketing, social media, audience data collection, environmental data collection, and ACE NPO reporting
* Ensure all activities align with company policies on diversity, inclusion, and environmental policies
Being Onsite and Travel
* Be onsite in Gorefield as needed for rehearsal and creations
* Facilitating the Tech Manager loading in/getting out set and equipment from the trailer and turning around costumes/props for the next tour date
* Local Events hosted by or co-produced by Gorilla Circus
* Travel will also occasionally be required to London or Cambridge for meetings with Arts Council Relationship Manager
* Various locations in the UK to support the Director and Artists on tour
* Various locations internationally to support the Director and/or Artists on tour
About You

Person Specification
Essential Skills/Knowledge/Attributes
* At least two years’ experience producing mid-large scale events, preferably outdoors
* Experience of either indoor or outdoor touring
* Managing multiple projects and working to deadlines
* Negotiations and contracting
* Liaising with venues, partners, and stakeholders
* Managing artists and freelancers
* Creating and managing budgets
* Driving License and access to a vehicle – must be able to get to the company base in Gorefield, which is not accessible by public transportation
* A positive approach to problem solving
* Able to work occasional weekends and unsocial hours
Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Attributes
* Working with ACE NPOs and the Let’s Create strategy
* Writing funding bids
* Marketing and Social Media
* G-suite experience
* Working with international artists and organisations
* Experience with Circus
* Graphic design/pitch decks
* Located within 1.5/2hrs of Gorefield or willing to travel longer distances
* Experience working from home
