With more than 15 years firmly established in the Scottish market, our client delivers across a wide range of sectors including golf resorts, healthcare, education, hotels, PBSA, commercial, leisure and retail. Their track record includes landmark projects exceeding £100m, managed from feasibility through to completion.
This growth now creates opportunities for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving Glasgow office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Planning & Management : Prepare and manage detailed cost plans from feasibility stage through to project completion.
* Tendering & Procurement : Lead procurement strategies, manage tender processes, analyse submissions, and provide recommendations.
* Contract Administration : Draft, negotiate, and manage contract documentation (JCT/NEC), advising clients on contractual matters.
* Change Management : Assess variations, value engineering opportunities, and advise on the financial implications of design decisions.
* Valuations & Reporting : Carry out valuations, prepare interim applications for payment, and provide accurate cash flow forecasts.
* Final Accounts : Manage and agree final accounts with contractors, ensuring financial closure of projects.
* Client Advisory : Act as a trusted advisor, providing commercial insight and strategic cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
* Mentorship & Team Support : Guide and support junior team members, sharing expertise and reviewing work.
* Stakeholder Liaison : Work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to maintain strong working relationships and deliver best value.
* Sector Exposure : Work across a diverse range of projects including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and leisure developments.
