A leading menswear brand based in Nottingham is seeking a highly skilled Manual Pattern Cutter to join their growing product and development team. This role is ideal for an experienced pattern cutter with strong menswear expertise, excellent technical knowledge and a hands-on approach to craft and garment construction. The Manual Pattern Cutter will work closely with Design, Product Development and Technical teams to develop accurate patterns across multiproduct menswear categories, ensuring exceptional fit, construction and brand consistency. Key Responsibilities Pattern Cutting & Development Create accurate manual patterns across a range of menswear product areas, including tailoring, outerwear, shirting, jersey and soft separates. Interpret design sketches and translate them into workable patterns that meet design intent, brand standards and production capabilities. Adapt and refine patterns through all stages of sampling, development and production. Carry out manual amendments, draping and construction adjustments as required. Fit & Technical Execution Attend fit sessions, take clear notes and action pattern amendments promptly. Work with the Technical and Product Development teams to resolve fit issues and ensure consistency across blocks and grades. Maintain and update pattern blocks, ensuring accuracy and alignment with seasonal developments. Collaboration & Communication Partner with Designers to ensure creative concepts are accurately realised. Work closely with machinists, sample room teams and external suppliers to ensure patterns translate effectively into high-quality garments. Communicate clearly with factories and provide supporting documentation where needed. Quality, Accuracy & Standards Ensure all patterns adhere to brand fit, construction and technical standards. Maintain organised pattern archives and documentation. Support continuous improvements in pattern-cutting processes and garment construction. About You Strong experience as a Manual Pattern Cutter, ideally within menswear and multiproduct categories. Excellent understanding of menswear construction, fit, proportion and fabric behaviour. Confident working manually, with strong draping, drafting and problem-solving skills. Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple styles simultaneously. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with tailored product is advantageous but not essential. Passion for craftsmanship, garment development and achieving premium-quality fit.
