The Role
Sport Development projects provide young people and adults with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports activities. The projects focus on increasing participation, developing a love for sport and also creating positive learning environments for all involved. In liaison with the Sports Development Manager and other staff, the Sports Development Coach will support the coordination and delivery of key sports development initiatives such as Bertie’s Footy Stars, Bertie Bee’s, Football Hubs, Activity Camps/Soccer Schools, Walking Sports and Matchday activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Delivery
•Plan, deliver and evaluate of coaching / sports sessions to ensure high standards and customer service are maintained.
•Engage, inspire, and empower participants to help them reach their full potential.
•Work effectively with individuals and groups from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
•Plan and deliver adaptable and engaging sessions that meet the needs of all participants.
•Communicate information clearly and accurately in familiar coaching and learning environments.
•Demonstrate the ability to understand the motivations of others and positively influence engagement and behaviour.
•Show a willingness to support the development of others when guidance is available, while actively seeking opportunities for personal development.
General
•To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.
•To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
•To work towards agreed objectives.
•Comply with all Charity policies.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
•Level 1 Coaching Award.
•Experience of planning and delivering regular sport coaching sessions.
•Full clean driving license with access to own transport.
