Job Advert – Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Contract: Flexible, day-to-day supply cover
Hours: As required (typically 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Start Date: Ongoing after 1st September
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable and reliable Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day cover in our friendly and welcoming primary schools across the Vale of Glamorgan. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and can quickly adapt to different year groups, supporting both teachers and pupils to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and activities.
* Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
* Assisting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum.
* Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
* Covering a range of age groups from Nursery to Year 6 as required.
About You
* Previous experience working in a primary school or similar setting.
* Patient, caring and able to build positive relationships quickly.
* Flexible and confident in adapting to new classes and routines.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
* An up-to-date DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
