Technical Sales Manager
Location: Metro Rod Newport, Hereford, & Gloucester
Employment Type: Full‑time permanent
Salary: Up to £48,000 DOE + commission

Our fee‑service focus includes drainage, pumps, sewage pumps, commercial kitchen solutions, and more.
What Does the Role Entail?
Your daily tasks will involve supporting franchisees and the sales team in scoping, pricing, winning, and executing drainage projects. With your background in drainage & pumps, coupled with exceptional communication skills, you'll ensure that every project meets and exceeds client expectations. You’ll bring a passion for uncovering and developing opportunities and support the sales function that will drive business growth.
Responsibilities
* support franchisees and the sales team in scoping, pricing, winning, and executing drainage projects
* run projects end‑to‑end, from client scoping through to delivery
* thoroughly understand the AMP cycles of UK water companies
* travel extensively – approximately 3 days per week
* maintain knowledge of health & safety, compliance standards and drainage law
* deliver exceptional customer service and own challenges through to resolution
* collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, engaging effectively with all levels
* proactively tackle and resolve operational challenges
Qualifications
* Outstanding background in drainage operations (survey, maintenance, rehabilitation, pumping systems and treatment plants)
* Experience of sales support, project scoping or technical consultancy
* Hands‑on approach, willing to get involved practically where needed
* Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Driving passion to learn and develop
* Confidence in dealing with high level enterprise customers

* IOSH Managing Safely
* SMSTS
* Hands‑on training in patch repairs and full‑length liner installs
* Confined spaces Medium Risk
* OS19X
* Knowledge of plumbing work
