Function Finance/Administration Facility Position Senior Bookkeeper Introduction
A vacancy has arisen for the above position, reporting to a Financial Accountant in the Assets department at the Financial Services Centre. The position responsibilities include performing specific financial processes and general ledger reconciliations for Life Healthcare units.
Critical Outputs
1. Responsible for preparation of accounting reconciliations and resolving of reconciling items in relevant accounting process
2. Responsible for capturing asset capitalisations where allocated
3. Responsible for month end processes and assist in capturing of data
4. Ensure compliance with corporate governance, company procedures and protocols
5. Assist in Adhoc projects
6. Assist in Annual Asset Exercises
7. Assist in Annual Budget Process
8. Year-end responsibilities include subsidiary AFS notes for property, plant and equipment and responding to audit queries
9. Compiling of specific information required on tax packs where requested
10. Strive to continuously improve working methods to improve standardisation and efficiencies
Requirements
11. A University Degree, B Com graduate would be advantageous.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical with advanced Excel Skills
13. SAP experience an advantage
14. High performance orientation, independence as well as a team player, functional proficiency, initiative and an ability to meet deadlines is essential for this position as is attention to detail and good communication
