About the Role
As a Business and Governance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and improvement of housing services. You will work across a range of business functions including the administration of rent and service charges, financial reconciliation, performance reporting, and the enhancement of customer data systems.
In parallel, you will be instrumental in governance-related activity such as reviewing policies and procedures, managing complaints and member enquiries, supporting FOI responses, and driving service transformation initiatives-particularly those that shift services online.
This role combines operational delivery with strategic thinking, making it ideal for someone looking to develop a broad and impactful career within local government housing services.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor rent setting, payments, and service charge processes.
* Collate and analyse customer and service data to produce monthly performance reports.
* Coordinate responses to complaints, FOI requests, and member enquiries.
* Review, develop, and implement policies and procedures.
* Support service transformation projects, particularly those focused on digitalisation.
* Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business planning.
