We seek an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for our Surrey Heath Children and Young People Service team based at Unither House, Chertsey, covering the NW Surrey area.
The Postholder will provide clinical input and leadership within a multidisciplinary team, working alongside two other consultants, 2 SAS doctors, and trainees. This role is suitable for newly appointed consultants, with support, mentorship, and development opportunities.
Our services include community care, integrated health and social care, early intervention, detection programmes, and specialized therapy and treatment, all aimed at enabling recovery and well-being.
Flexibility regarding PAs and part-time applications is available.
Main duties include:
* Providing diagnostic, assessment, and treatment services for children and adolescents with mental health issues.
* Engaging in multidisciplinary care, promoting collaboration.
* Managing a caseload of approximately 60 patients, with assessments 2-3 times monthly.
* Participating in an out-of-hours emergency rota, supporting junior staff in A&E assessments.
