Overview

Location: Brighton, UK

Hours: Part time of 0.4 FTE / 15 hours per week.

Salary: Grade 8 starting at £47,389 to £56,535 per annum, pro rata if part time.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

About the role

* Plan, deliver and assess innovative high‑quality teaching across all levels, including lecture-based, seminar-based and practical workshop-based teaching, along with final year project supervision and varied student support.
* Experience of working with industry partners on live briefs is required.
* You may engage with the department and school by contributing to activities such as admissions days, department/school meetings, and participating in Product Design events (e.g., attendance at New Designers with students and the team).

About you

* The successful applicant will have a proven track record in design and be responsible for devising and delivering teaching within the Product Design courses in the areas of Design for Industry, and Design Techniques in Practice.
* You will communicate clearly and be an effective and supportive team player.
