About the Role
* In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the campus, ensuring smooth operations of maintenance and minimising disruption to the student experience. Perform electrical maintenance and minor repairs, and support the broader facilities team when needed.
* Investigate electrical issues, perform repairs, or coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely resolutions.
* Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of electrical work and liaise with the administration team to ensure buildings and services meet compliance.
* Communicate with staff to minimise disruption during maintenance tasks.
About You
* We are looking for a skilled tradesperson or technical professional with an electrical background who can maintain and repair electrical systems across campus. Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering and possess hands-on experience with electrical maintenance and repairs.
* Be competent using hand and power tools, as well as electrical test equipment, to carry out general electrical tasks.
* Be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with your team and provide a high-quality maintenance service that enhances the customer experience.
* Be proactive with a can do attitude and able to work autonomously or as part of a small team within the Maintenance division.
* Have strong problem-solving skills, be quick to adapt in a customer-facing environment, and flexible to meet the evolving needs of a growing campus.
* Maintain a high level of accuracy when completing job details, identifying materials for orders, and updating work progress on your PDA.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
