Experience
Essential criteria
* Masters level knowledge of routine and specialised clinical techniques.
* Deliver specialist training to the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team where appropriate
* Knowledge of clinical hazards & emergency procedures
* Up-to-date with latest developments
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of Advanced Training in Perfusion Techniques.
* Management qualification
* Leadership qualification.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Essential criteria
* IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point and Access
* Hospital and perfusion databases
* Attention to detail
* Accuracy.
* Able to manage time effectively
* Ability to work as part of a wider team
* Able to maintain intense levels of concentration
* Able to interact with patients and their relatives where necessary.
* Accountable for own professional action
Desirable criteria
* Effective leadership skills
* Able to teach and relate to different Staff Groups
* Good mentoring skills.

Education and Qualifications

* Educated to Masters level or equivalent in Perfusion Science.
* Accredited by the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
* Professional Registration with College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland
* Basic understanding of statistics.
* Evidence of Continual Professional Development.

* Evidence of Advanced Training in Perfusion Techniques.
* Management qualification.
* Leadership qualification.
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
