Production Planner – Composite Manufacturing

We're working with a leading UK composite manufacturing business supplying high-performance, lightweight components to the automotive, motorsport, defence and aerospace sectors.
With strong in-house capabilities across tooling, composite materials, metallic components, rapid prototyping, final assembly and low-volume manufacturing, this business partners closely with customers to deliver quality-driven, on-time solutions.
The Role
As Production Planner, you'll take ownership of production schedules, materials planning and delivery commitments within a fast-paced composite manufacturing environment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring efficient workflows, capacity alignment and on-time customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules
* Maintain accurate production data using Progress Plus ERP
* Coordinate materials, tooling and BOM availability
* Work closely with production teams to resolve capacity and workflow issues
* Communicate with customers on delivery dates and production progress
* Track production from kit cutting through inspection, dispatch and delivery
* Attend daily production meetings and provide status updates
About You
* Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling or production control
* Background in composites or advanced manufacturing highly desirable
* Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable working in a dynamic, change-driven environment
* Experience with ERP / MRP systems (Progress Plus highly advantageous)
