Based at the Gloucestershire Heritage Hub in Alvin Street, Gloucester, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital public service. About the RoleAs a Registration Certificate Services Officer, you will be responsible for processing certificate applications as well as producing, issuing, and certifying birth, death, marriage, and civil partnership certificates. This role demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality, as you will be working within statutory frameworks. Key responsibilities include:Handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and occasional face-to-face interactionsProcessing payments and maintaining accurate financial recordsRecording and reconciling transactions electronicallyEnsuring the secure handling and storage of official documents, including occasional working at height to access registers in strongroomsSupporting the team with general administrative tasks You will be working Monday to Wednesday, for 18.5 hours per week. Flexibility is required, as you may occasionally be asked to work at other locations across the county.This role is office based and there is no home working. Training and SupportFull training will be provided, along with mentoring from experienced team members to help you settle into the role and develop your skills.
