The Role
As Reservations Manager, you will lead, inspire and develop the Reservations team to deliver outstanding service while driving maximum revenue for the hotel. You will be commercially minded, guest-focused, and confident in managing both individual and group bookings across rooms and meeting spaces.
What You Will Be Doing
Leadership & People
Lead, coach and develop the Reservations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement
Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives and support team members in their personal development
Ensure the team is fully trained on systems, brand standards, and hotel offerings
Collaborate closely with Front Office, Sales and Revenue teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
Revenue & Commercial Performance
Drive room and meeting room revenue through effective yield management and proactive selling strategies
Monitor availability and ensure the team is consistently selling at the optimal rate
Oversee accurate entry of all reservations into PEP PMS, ensuring rates, payment terms and conditions are correctly applied
Analyse booking trends, competitor activity and market conditions to inform strategy
Actively pursue conversion of enquiries and follow up on leads to maximise business
Guest Experience & Quality
Ensure every guest interaction reflects the warmth and exceptional service DoubleTree by Hilton is known for
Minimise errors and complaints through rigorous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures
Maintain full compliance with Hilton brand standards, contributing to strong performance in the annual audit
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Reservations management or supervisory role within a hotel environment
Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems experience with PEP is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident telephone manner
Commercially driven with strong negotiation and upselling abilities
Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and varied shifts
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
