Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be AAT Level 3 qualified (Level 2 considered with strong relevant experience) and possess a solid understanding of core accounting processes. They demonstrate a high level of accuracy and efficiency in managing day-to-day financial tasks, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.

Motivated, trustworthy, and detail-focused, they bring a proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting the finance function and contributing to the wider success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of daily financial reporting
2. Recording, filing, and matching of invoices
3. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
4. Support continuous system and process improvements
5. Demonstrate strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
6. Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase ledger transactions across all expenditure streams
7. Handle a high volume of purchase and sales transactions
8. Answer supplier calls and manages queries regarding payments
9. Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate records
10. Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations
11. Set up and maintain supplier account details within the purchase ledger
12. Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
13. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations

Required Skills and Experience

* AAT Level 3 qualified (or Level 2 with substantial, relevant experience)
* Proven background in supplier and client relationship management
* Excellent computerised accounting system skills
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support team goals
