Overview
A welcoming family of 4 (soon to be 5) based in a small hamlet just outside of Henley on Thames are looking for a full-time live-out Nanny/Housekeeper to support them with their growing family. The father works in London each day and the mother is currently a stay-at-home mum with their daughter (3) and son (17 months), expecting their third child in February 2026.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone who is extremely capable of caring for small children and the home environment alongside the parents, whilst also being capable of looking after one or more of the children solo, as required, to enable the parents to have one-on-one time with a child or personal time.
* Experience looking after small children and babies, either as a nanny or in a nursery environment
* A caring, playful nature with children, helping them be inquisitive and kind little people
* A good home cook, who also enjoys baking with children
* A sleeves-rolled up flexible attitude, happy to get stuck in with whatever is needed to ensure a smooth running of the home environment
* Detail oriented with high food hygiene standards
* Confident driver, with driving licence and ownership of a car given hamlet location
* Lives within close proximity of Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, given split-shift structure during school term times
* Happy with a well behaved black labrador
Role Structure
The role will be paid on a per annum basis.
* School Term Time: Split shift helping morning and afternoon/evening with a substantial break in the middle of the day
* 7.30am – 10am and 3pm – 7.30pm (7 hours) with 5 hour break in the middle of the day
* Non School Term Time: 9am-5pm, but with some flexibility mutually agreed
Role Responsibilities
* Supporting parents with school and nursery drop-offs / pick-ups
* Supporting with food preparation for children, and sometimes the family as a whole
* Entertaining the two older children particularly whilst mum is caring for newborn
* Supporting mum with post-school/nursery play, dinner, bath and bedtime
* Helping complete household chores pre-and post-bedtime to help set the family up for the next day
* Helping with general household chores to ensure things keep running smoothly (general tidying, washing/drying clothes and putting them away, keeping surfaces clean, putting the bins out, feeding the dog, emptying the dishwasher, hoovering, changing bedsheets and towels, unpacking food shopping, walking the dog if needed)
* Note: A cleaning company will come weekly to do a deep clean of bathrooms, and the family have a daily dog walker
* Running errands for the family (e.g., post office, mid-week food shops)
Requirements
* Minimum Experience Level: 2+ years working with children of the same age
* Training and Qualifications: Childcare qualifications essential for this role

Hours:
* School Term Time: 7.30am – 10am and 3pm – 7.30pm (7 hours) with a 5 hour mid-day break
* Non School Term Time: 9am-5pm, with some flexibility mutually agreed
Job Start Date: January
Pay: £40K-£45K gross per annum based on experience with a generous holiday allowance
Driver: Yes, and a car can be provided on duty
Pets: one friendly dog
