Introduction
We are recruiting for a talented Project Manager to join our clients Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Sizewell B.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable to the client Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for the successful delivery of all aspects of assigned projects.
Set the project execution strategy in agreement with the client Project Portfolio Management, using a cross-functional project team to ensure safe and effective project delivery in line with company policies and procedures.
Achieve project goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
No direct reports; collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Based at the EDF Sizewell B Power Station, with occasional business travel to other UK sites / stations.
Report to the business Operations Manager, while being directly accountable for project delivery to the client.
Proven track record of working within highly regulated environments, ensuring high safety standards and a strong safety culture.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks, and work in a results-focused, team-centred manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject, with preferred Chartership.
Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) formal project management qualification or equivalent, with expertise in modern project management techniques for complex, multi-functional organisations.
Thorough understanding of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
Familiarity with Safety Cases, Health and Safety, and Environment legislation including Construction Design and Management, and actions for achieving compliance.
Strong understanding of quality assurance and control, with experience in managing commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
Demonstrable experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, ideally across complex, multi-discipline environments, and leading integrated project teams.
Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including preparation of business cases and funding papers.
Proficient in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tools for estimating, scheduling, programming, risk, and Earned Value analysis.
Experience in Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred, but not essential.
