Fast growing and dynamic e600m FMCG European group with a broad range of non-food and food-based products focused on consumers’ everyday household usage needs through a range of high-quality, well-known brands and retailer own‑label products. The business has achieved substantial sales growth success over the past 5 years through both M&A and organic growth with a strong strategic vision for further growth over the next 5 years. The UK market operates with a number of business divisions with combined sales of over €100m and is now looking to appoint an outstanding and dynamic Head of New Business Development for their Northwest based Health & Beauty and Personal Care division.


Job

Following a strategic restructure and the appointment of a Commercial Director, this role will take the lead in strategically driving the development of targeted new business, initially focused on Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons accounts. The role will also lead the implementation and management of an integrated group‑led multi‑category/business supply partnership with a major high‑street discount retailer, including detailed P&L performance. The core focus is to strategically build compelling brand‑lead propositions designed to open new major retail accounts and to develop existing major grocery and discounter retail customer product listings and store distribution. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role will also support and help drive compelling commercial ‘go‑to‑market’ brand strategies, supporting national account team colleagues to achieve profitable sales growth within their customers.


Responsibilities

* Lead strategic development of new business with Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons.
* Implement and manage multi‑category business supply partnerships with high‑street discount retailers.
* Build and execute brand‑lead propositions to open new retail accounts and expand existing accounts.
* Support national account teams with go‑to‑market brand strategies to drive profitable sales growth.


Qualifications

* 7–10 years of senior FMCG commercial experience, managing major retail customers.
* Track record of winning new business and delivering profitable sales growth.
* Experience in personal care, health & beauty or food/drink brands with multiple retail accounts, including Aldi or Lidl.
* Detailed knowledge of UK grocery trade and strategic understanding of brand positioning within Aldi, Lidl and the top 6 grocery retail players.
* Background in smaller/medium‑sized UK‑based FMCG companies, with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial style.
* Highly personable, fun to be around and a natural ‘hunter’ focused on winning new business.
