Education Support Worker - Oxford

The role as an Education Support Worker
* Support students who struggle with their class work
* Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
* Provide support to the class teacher
* Help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
* Keep the classroom tidy and presentable
* Encourage children to do their best
* Help manage classroom behaviour
* Listen to the children read and practice their phonics
The successful Education Support Worker
* Calm and compassionate. Personality is everything!
* Ability to take initiative well and problem solve
* Have some experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
* Patient. Some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day
* Understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
* Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
* Must have right to live/work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorships)
* If you do not have a DBS certificate, we can support your application
Key Information
Education Support Worker – Oxford – Primary School – £83–£100 per day – Term time only – ASAP start.
