This is a hands‑on role where you’ll coordinate all aspects of display operations, from initial planning and site assessments to managing logistics, show designs, safety compliance, and on‑site execution. You’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure each display is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

The Company:

Founded in 2000, 21CC Group is a fully integrated event management and service delivery company. We deliver unforgettable live experiences across events, technical production, fireworks, pyrotechnics, and special effects. With a family of innovative brands working together, we pride ourselves on creativity, professionalism, and a strong team culture.

Role Overview:

As Display Manager, you will be the driving force behind the planning and execution of our fireworks and pyrotechnic displays. You’ll work closely with the team to design and deliver safe, spectacular shows that meet client expectations and uphold our reputation for excellence. Your responsibilities will include site assessments, risk management, product management, show design and ensuring all operations comply with legal and safety standards. This role is about combining creativity with precision, bringing unforgettable experiences to life while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

* Technical Specification and Project Quoting
o Define technical requirements for fireworks and pyrotechnic displays of varying sizes and complexity.
o Prepare accurate client quotes independently for smaller projects and collaboratively for larger, high‑value, or complex displays.
o Ensure all specifications meet safety, legal, and operational standards before sign‑off.
* Site Visits and Assessments
o Conduct thorough site inspections to assess suitability for fireworks displays and pyrotechnic use.
o Identify potential challenges such as access restrictions, environmental considerations, and safety hazards.
o Document findings and communicate requirements clearly to clients and internal teams.
* Technical Planning and Documentation
o Produce detailed technical plans including site layouts, firing system diagrams, power plans, and noise management strategies.
o Develop set‑up and set‑down schedules to ensure efficient and safe operations.
o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for review, revision, and approval of all plans.
o Design creative and impactful fireworks displays tailored to client briefs and event themes.
o Incorporate synchronisation with music where required, ensuring precision timing and choreography.
o Select appropriate pyrotechnic products and firing sequences to achieve desired visual effects safely.
* Training and Development
o Undertake and maintain relevant industry qualifications and certifications.
o Identify training needs within the team and implement structured training programmes for firers and crew.
o Monitor crew performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
* Health and Safety Management
o Maintain standards and processes at HSE Licensed sites.
o Compile risk assessments and method statements for each display and SFX event.
o Ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practice standards.
* Industry Knowledge and Innovation
o Stay up to date with developments in fireworks technology, safety standards, and equipment.
o Research and implement innovative solutions for safe working and efficient delivery.
o Share knowledge with the team to maintain cutting‑edge expertise and compliance.

Your Expertise:

* Proven track record of working in fireworks, pyrotechnics, and technical event production.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
* Ability to interpret technical requirements and produce accurate plans for complex displays.
* Skilled communicator with confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers, and on‑site teams.
* Strong understanding of health and safety principles and ability to uphold strict compliance standards.
* Comfortable working hands‑on in outdoor environments and managing physical tasks as part of event delivery.
* IT literacy, including basic troubleshooting and familiarity with technical systems (firing software).
* A commitment to continuous learning and maintaining relevant industry qualifications.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is organised, safety focused and a problem solver. You are able to plan, coordinate and deliver complex fireworks and pyrotechnic displays whilst ensuring that the highest level of attention is given to quality, Health & Safety and client expectation. You’ll be able to think on your feet and find practical solutions to technical and logistical problems, often on site and under pressure. You’re a clear communicator, comfortable collaborating with clients, suppliers and internal teams and you will be confident in providing clear instruction to colleagues where required.

About the Role:

* This is a permanent, full‑time position working primarily in 21CC Group with support across our other associated companies.
* You should be comfortable working across offices, venues and on‑site environments.
