We are looking for a qualified accountant who enjoys audit to join our growing Audit and Corporate team. As an Audit Senior in Sussex, your office base can be either Horsham or Chichester. We also offer hybrid working, involving 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Our clients are based across Sussex, Kent, and London. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of clients of varying sizes and industries, including not-for-profit, ensuring the delivery of top-quality service within our expanding team.
About the role
Your primary responsibility will be leading audit teams and managing audits from planning through to completion for a range of clients. You will oversee and train Audit Juniors, review their work, and collaborate closely with managers and partners to ensure technical compliance. You will also gain exposure to compiling accounts and preparing corporate tax returns.
* Plan and execute audits for clients
* Manage assignments efficiently in terms of cost and time
* Supervise and coach junior team members on-site
* Review audit and accounts preparation work by juniors
* Liaise with clients, HMRC, and partners on work assignments
* Ensure meticulous adherence to audit procedures
* Draft corporation and income tax computations
What we're looking for
* ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified with at least 2 years of audit experience
* Experience in statutory audits within public practice
* Knowledge of ISA and UK GAAP
* Skills in accounts compilation and drafting corporation tax computations
* Excellent client service and communication skills
* Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
* Experience with CaseWare is desirable
