Job: Estimator
Location: Central Scotland and the West
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Our client, a civil engineering contractor, seeks to enhance its team by appointing a skilled Estimator for a permanent position based in West Lothian. The ideal candidate will work within the commercial team, showcasing commercial acumen and a track record in diverse civil engineering and groundwork contracts. Possessing robust technical knowledge, you should demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple projects concurrently.
As an Estimator your responsibilities will include:

* Tender Identification & Management:
\n
o Identify suitable tenders for pricing.
o Download and analyse tender documents.
o Provide accurate, detailed quotations and prepare tender submissions.
\n
* Estimating & Documentation:
\n
o Collate necessary information and complete Bills of Quantities.
o Log, track, and monitor tender submissions and successful bids.
\n
* Post-Award Handover:
\n
o Facilitate a seamless handover of contracts to our delivery teams, ensuring all relevant details are communicated.
o Support administrative and filing tasks for the Estimating Team.

To thrive in this role, you should bring prior experience as an estimator in a civils environment and possess:

* Experience:
\n
\n
\n
o Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry, ideally in Estimating, Procurement, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying roles.
\n
\n
\n
* Skills:
\n
\n
\n
o Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
o Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
o Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
\n
\n
\n
* Other:
\n
\n
\n
o Valid UK driving licence.
o Proactive and responsible approach, with a positive "can-do" attitude.
o Interest in professional growth and career advancement.
