Quantity Surveyor - Caterham (Main Contractor) Salary: £60,000 per annum Location: Caterham, Surrey Start: ASAP Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting a versatile Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a highly respected and dynamic Regional Main Contractor. The Client Our client delivers a diverse portfolio of high-quality schemes for both public and private sector clients. The Role This is a comprehensive, full-lifecycle QS role. You will not be pigeonholed into just one phase of a build; instead, you will have commercial ownership of your projects from inception to completion. Your duties will span across: Pre-Contract: Assisting the pre-construction team with tendering, estimating, and initial procurement strategies. In-Contract: Managing the commercial aspects of live projects, including cost reporting, sub-contractor management, valuations, and managing variations. Post-Contract: Closing out final accounts, managing retention periods, and ensuring commercial success at handover. Requirements Essential: Proven experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment. Essential: Demonstrable experience handling the full project lifecycle (pre-construction, live project management, and final accounts). Essential: A varied background covering public and private sector projects (ideally across residential, commercial, and leisure). Desirable: Ambitious and driven, with a clear desire to progress into a Senior QS role over time. What's on Offer Salary: £60,000 basic salary.
